SpaceX launched a very large rocket on May 22, 2026. It was the company's 12th Starship test flight from Starbase, Texas and the first flight of a new, bigger version of the vehicle.

The rocket flew for about an hour. The booster broke apart during the flight, but the upper stage made a planned splashdown in the Indian Ocean.
