📖 Article

General Motors will stop making the BrightDrop electric delivery van at the CAMI Assembly in Ingersoll, Ontario. The company announced the end of production on October 21, 2025 and said market demand fell short of expectations.

Production had been suspended since May 2025. GM said a changing regulatory environment and the end of some U.S. tax credits made the van line hard to keep. News reports say the decision affects more than 1,000 workers at CAMI. Less than a week earlier, Stellantis said it would move production of a new vehicle from Brampton, Ontario, to Illinois.
