📖 Article
Leaders in seven Northeastern states and New York City formed the Northeast Public Health Collaborative on September 18, 2025. The group includes New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, and Rhode Island plus New York City.
The collaborative aims to protect public health and give clear, science-based vaccine advice to residents. The states acted after federal changes to vaccine advisory panels and guidance. Some members also issued standing orders that let pharmacists and other clinicians give the 2025–2026 COVID-19 vaccine. They will share data, coordinate buying, and prepare for respiratory virus season. The work aims to keep people safe in the coming months.
