📖 Article
President Donald Trump said the U.S. government is close to a deal with Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He said Harvard will pay $500 million and will run trade schools to teach AI and engineering skills. He said Education Secretary Linda McMahon is finalizing the details.
Earlier this year the government froze $2.2 billion in grants to Harvard after protests and complaints about campus policies. Harvard fought in court and a judge blocked some funding cuts. Columbia University and Brown University also made payments to the government, and Harvard did not comment the same day.
