📖 Article
In June 2025, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran. The attacks began on June 13, 2025 and hit military and nuclear sites near Tehran. People in the capital were scared and many could not sleep. Windows were closed and some families stayed in basements.
Some families left the city and some stayed close to home. Banks limited cash withdrawals and many shops closed or ran out of goods, so people bought food, water and medicine. People also queued for petrol and pharmacies were busy. Life in Tehran felt fragile, but many residents were trying to get by. The IAEA said nuclear facilities must never be attacked.
