Manuel Trujillo is a psychiatrist who teaches at New York University. He led the psychiatry department at Bellevue Hospital from 1990 to 2008.

After the September 11, 2001 attacks, Bellevue treated many rescue workers and people with stress and grief. Trujillo worked on post-traumatic stress and public psychiatry and he helped train doctors to care for affected families. He used clinical research and training to improve care. His career began in Spain and he later moved to New York.
