📖 Article
Somalia faces a severe health crisis in 2025. Many clinics and mobile teams have closed after large cuts to international aid, and children are becoming more sick and hungry.
The United Nations and aid groups say food and health services are smaller this year. The World Food Programme will cut food aid for hundreds of thousands of people, and clinics in many regions have stopped treating patients. The 2025 humanitarian plan asked for 1.42 billion dollars but funding was low, so the UN now plans to help only 1.3 million people. The result is more children with severe malnutrition and more outbreaks of waterborne disease.
