Kuala Lumpur, 26 October 2025: Leaders from Cambodia and Thailand signed a peace agreement. President Donald Trump watched the ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The leaders met on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit. Many officials and guests also attended the event.

The pact asks both sides to stop fighting and move heavy weapons away from the border. It asks for demining and for ASEAN observers to check the work. It also says Thailand will release 18 Cambodian soldiers. People hope the deal will make the border safer and help families who lost homes. The agreement is a first step toward calm for towns near the frontier.
