How Wall Street Plans to Fund the AI Build‑Out

Nvidia and big Wall Street firms announced a plan to help customers pay for AI computing power. The plan will mobilize over $500 billion to fund data centers, power, and related infrastructure.

Six firms named in the deal are Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR. Some people worry this way of funding can be circular because a supplier helps pay for its customers’ buying of the supplier’s chips. The financing will use independent platforms and may offer attractive rates to customers. Many companies need help because GPUs and data centers cost a lot. Some investors worry this could create risks if demand slows.
