Children, Robots, and A.I.: A School Visit in North Carolina

First Lady Melania Trump visited Mountain View Elementary School in Jefferson, North Carolina on September 15, 2026. She spoke to students about using artificial intelligence and robots in class.

She encouraged children to try making new machines and said, "Maybe one of you will create the next great robot." The visit included gifts of StudyFetch subscriptions for 1,500 students and 100 Jetson Nano developer kits to the school.

Mrs. Trump has worked on AI and child education projects during the administration. Her Fostering the Future initiative connects schools with technology partners. Many students tried small robots in class that day.
