Control Your Instagram Photos and Meta’s Muse Image

Meta launched Muse Image, an AI tool that can use photos from public Instagram accounts. If your Instagram account is public, people may be able to create images using your posts and reels.

You can stop this by changing a setting in the Instagram app. Open your profile, tap the three-line menu, go to Sharing and reuse, and toggle off Posts and Reels under 'Allow people to use your content on Instagram and with AI features on Meta'. Private accounts are not included, so only public accounts need this change. If you do not see the option, the toggle may not be available for all accounts yet.
