The Isle of Wight is an island off the south coast of England. The island is known for beaches and for music festivals that once featured Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.
Tourism is the island’s biggest industry. More than 1.96 million visitors came between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023 and tourists spent around £280 million. The island had about 140,400 residents in 2021. People work in hotels, shops and boat services, and many businesses depend on visitors. Ferries connect the island to the mainland.
