Robert Coles: Listening to Children
Robert Coles was a child psychiatrist and a writer. He taught at Harvard and he listened to many children. He wrote about how children feel in hard times.
Coles died on June 4, 2026, at a hospice in Lincoln, Massachusetts. He was 97. His five-volume series, Children of Crisis, won the Pulitzer Prize in 1973. He met children in their homes and he wanted to hear their stories.
